Katz Concepts Ultrasonic Tank Monitor
What is it?
Katz Concepts uses an ultrasonic sensor that is designed to measure the depth of water or wastewater in tanks that are 20" deep or less. I designed it for boats, RVs, or trailers that have water and holding tanks. The advantages of Katz Concepts ultrasonic sensors:
1) The Sensors were designed for industrial use. They are completely sealed for reliability.
2) The Sensor sits on top of the tank, not in it, and does not come in contact with the liquid. It only requires a 5/8" hole on the top of the tank.
3) The Sensor can be easily taught in the field with the Teaching Tool to measure your specific tank. It does not have to be set at the factory (but it could if you wanted it to).
4) The Sensor is less than 1" high for low clearance tanks.
5) The Monitor Panel uses a 10 LED array to show you the depth. So you get much finer resolution than the 3 or 4 light version.
6) Installation and mounting of the Monitor Panel can be handled from the front. No need for rear access except to pull the wires.
7) The system is only energized when the button is pushed to see what the depth is. No energy is used when you are not looking at a level.
8) The Connecting Cable has a quick disconnect on the sensor side and is wired to a terminal strip in the Monitor Panel.
9) The system can be run using an optional Battery Holder that holds two-9 volt batteries that will easily last more than a year under normal use. Of course the house 12 volt system can be used.
10) Made in Ohio, USA.
