Make-A-Wish Stream [FTW] Global Fundraising Initiative
In the past decade, the video game industry has consistently participated in charitable fundraising campaigns in unique and innovative ways, all while raising millions of dollars in relatively short periods of time. Many of these fundraisers require little effort from the benefiting charities and yet provide substantial rewards. The first step toward the strategy is focused on individual gamers or streamers hosting charity streams in support of Make-A-Wish. Funds raised by charity streams will give Make-A-Wish new funding to support their vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.
In support of this initiative, I launched our global Stream [FTW] ("Stream For the Wishes") program - providing international affiliates with tools, resources, and opportunities to work with streamers to raise funds for their local wish community. This is a new, innovative program aimed at the next generation of Make-A-Wish champions, empowering them to share the lasting impact of a wish with their community and support the mission through charity streams.
